At the brink of finally meeting this mega-hero of a photographer of mine, I was anxious…I knew I was going to go deep…didn’t know how deep. How totally naive of me…..Manny did not disappoint. Indeed he exceeded all expectations I had of this workshop. I know I am already richer from just these two days of exposure.
On the first day we were shooting for about 7 straight hours after the morning intro in some 100 deg weather in the heat of LA. But being a seeker of light, Manny had us shooting in the height of sunlight and I dare say the images were amazing!
And so ended the first day…photographers all dusty and slightly dehydrated, but sporting smiles nonetheless clutching at our memory cards that held the golden nuggets of the day, wondering how much better it can get when viewers already belied such richness in texture and depth.
But the next day of post processing proved no less spectacular. While I sported a full blown migraine I was loathe to miss it and gathered what I could…and saw his style come out in the post process of all the talented photographers present….To my amazement Manny considered every pixel/inch of the photograph to ensure it is exactly what he wants and how he achieves “the librodo look”.
When do you stop and say..”this is it!” ? That is the challenge. And Manny does it to perfection.
So where are the photos……prepare to be amazed!
